Agresso is one of the software packages in which Beyond Training consultants have a wide and varied experience, having worked with over 40 clients in many different industries including local government, national government, construction, the NHS and charities.

As such we were able to provide a bespoke 5-day training package, which included a blend of training in the fundamentals of supporting Agresso and consultancy on the purchasing workflow and the processes that surround it.

By going through the basics of setting up a new company and establishing the general ledger, the trainee was able to establish good knowledge of the underlying structure of the system and apply knowledge learned on previous off-the-shelf courses in to her own environment.

Further to that, the trainee and the consultant performed a detailed analysis of the complex purchasing workflows to understand the original logic applied when they were set up, and to identify areas for change or for further research. On the suggestion of the consultant, a working group has been set up with the Business Systems and Purchasing teams, and further suggestions made on how the training programme at the Institute could be improved.

The topics covered on this course, which took place over 5 days, included:

                  • The Cornerstones of Agresso
                  • Creating a new company
                  • Setting up fixed registers, exchange rates, users and roles
                  • Creating account rules, attributes, relations and a chart of accounts
                  • The Accounts Payable process
                  • Consultancy on:
                                    o The various purchasing workflows
                                    o Future training provision
                                    o Possible upgrade considerations

Beyond Training looks forward to a long and fruitful relationship with the Institute.
